Neil Selwyn is one of the authors of a new systematic review article published in Teaching & Teacher Education. The article is titled: “Twenty years of online teacher communities: A systematic review of formally-organized and informally-developed professional learning groups“. The article was co-authored with colleagues from the University of Gothenburg (Annika Lantz-Andersson and Mona Lundin) and presents a systematic review of the empirical literature examining online teacher communities since the early 2000s. Focusing on the distinction between formally-organized and informally-developed communities, the paper explores the benefits and limitations of online professional learning communities.
