politics_edtechNeil Selwyn has a new book (edited with Keri Facer from the University of Bristol) titled ‘The Politics of Education and Technology’. This collection is published by Palgrave Macmillan and features eleven chapters focusing on the political conflicts and controversies underpinning digital technology use in education. The book features contributors from the US, Canada, UK, Mexico, Argentina and Australia – covering topics from bio-technology to one-to-one laptop programs in developing contexts. This is a book that moves debates of education and technology beyond the usual preoccupations of ‘technology enhanced learning’ and onto more critical concerns of power, control, ethic and inequality.
