Mike Phillips was recently invited to present the opening session at The International Schools of Sri Lanka Annual Conference. Mike’s presentation introduced the 250 members of the audience to conceptualizations of teachers’ knowledge, in particular TPACK, and the ways in which we might understand expert teacher practices with technology.
Mike illustrated this theoretical concept by drawing on his work with Augmented Reality applications in classroom and outdoor settings. In addition to school principals and leading teachers, the conference was also attended by the Sri Lankan Minister of Skills Development and Vocational Training and the Secretary to the Ministry of Education in Sri Lanka.
