Congratulations: SITE conference success

Congratulations: SITE conference success

1441

The Society for Information Technology and Teacher Education (SITE) Conference was held in New Orleans this year. It is one of the leading conferences in the world for teacher education and digital technologies.

This year DER was well represented by its members and research students presenting eight papers from AI Creativity to video effectiveness and TPACK.

Of particular note was the success of Ralph Saubern for leading the award winning paper “Representing TPACK as a Developmental Construct”. This is a remarkable achievement because the paper was selected by internationally recognised scholars in the field who recognised the potential of Ralph’s work to advance the theory.

And massive congratulations to A/Prof Mike Phillips for the immense recognition as the 2023 recipient of the SITE Outstanding Global Educator Award. This is a significant achievement that recognizes outstanding leadership, scholarship and service globally; and in particular increase awareness of the variety and range of successful approaches taken through teacher education to increase equity while also improving intercultural competence with effective and equitable adoption of information technology.
