LNM on BBC Radio 4

Neil Selwyn will appear as a guest on the BBC Radio 4 show 'Start the Week' next Monday (May 9th) presented by Andrew Marr. The focus will be on the future of education, also featuring contributions from Sugata Mitra, journalist Lynsey Hanley and the former Headmaster at Eton, Tony Little.

LNM article short-listed for 2016 BERA annual Editors’ Choice Award

An article from LNM's Spencer Foundation funded research project on open data in schools has been shortlisted for the 2016 Editors' Choice Award for the British Educational Research Journal (BERJ).

LNM in Uruguay

Neil Selwyn is one of the keynote presenters at the 1st International Workshop on 'New Metrics for Evaluaton: towards innovation in learning'. This three day event is being held in Montevideo by the Fundacion Ceibal, April 13th through April 15th.

LNM in New York

Neil Selwyn is giving a seminar on April 7th as part of Data & Society's 'databite' seminar series. Neil's talk - titled '(Dis)Connected Learning: the messy realities of digital schooling' - will give an first glimpse of emerging conclusions from LNM's ARC-funded Discovery Project on secondary school technology use. The talk is taking place in the D&S New York offices on lunchtime April 7th, and will be streamed live/cached for online viewing.

Michael Phillips receives best paper award SITE2016

Michael Phillips and co-authors Matthew Koehler and Joshua Rosenberg have just won a best paper award at SITE 2016 in Savannah Georgia, entitled "Looking outside the circles: Considering the contexts influencing TPACK development and enactment.”

Neil Selwyn is featured on the ABC radio national program 'Future Tense' speaking about his forthcoming book 'Is Technology Good For Education?'. The program airs on 28/2/16 and 4/3/16, and will also feature on the Future Tense podcast stream.
