LNM in Spain

Neil Selwyn was interviewed by the US daily website 'Inside Higher Ed' - focusing on various aspects of universities and digital technology. Topics ranged from MOOCs, media coverage of ed-tech issues, and the cooling-off of venture capitalist interest in digital education.
Australian Education Union presentation
Neil Selwyn will be speaking at an Australian Education Union conference on August 19th in Melbourne, outlining findings from the ‘Making A Digital Difference?’ project. The title of the talk will be ‘The Impact of Digital Technology on Educators’ Work’.
LNM in Cairns
Michael Henderson is presenting a keynote at the annual Design-led learning communities conference #DLLC16 hosted by the Catholic Education Diocese of Cairns.
Funding success – Personal Data Literacies project
Congratulations to LNM's Luci Pangrazio who has been awarded research funding in the latest round of auDA Foundation grants. The project is titled "Data Smart: Developing Teenagers' Personal Data Literacies" and will focus on young people's critical literacies around their personal data.
LNM on ABC Radio ‘Nightlife’
Neil Selwyn will be a guest on the first hour of the ABC Radio ‘Nightlife’ program on Wednesday 15th June. Neil will be joining host Tony Delroy to discuss the current and future state of technology use in education. Nightlife is broadcast nationwide from 10pm until 1am across the ABC Local Radio network.
OLT Funding Success
Congratulations to Michael Henderson and Mike Phillips who have been successful in the final round of Innovation and Development funding from the OLT (Australian Government Office for Learning and Teaching). The LNM researchers won a $280,000 grant for their project titled: “Feedback for Learning: Closing the Assessment Loop”.
LNM success in European conferences
LNM will be represented in major international conferences being held in the UK and Germany - the Oxford ‘Internet, Policy & Politics’ conference (Luci Pangrazio), and the AOIR 2016 conference in Berlin (Selena Nemorin & Nicola Johnson).
LNM on ABC Radio National
Neil Selwyn is featured on this week's edition of ABC radio's 'Future Tense' show speaking on the topic of learning and digital technology. The show is on the theme of 'Digital vs. Human' - featuring Richard Watson speaking on his book of the same title, the neuro-scientist Manfred Spitzer, and historian Gary Cross discussing the changing nature of nostalgia in the digital age.
