Neil Selwyn has a new article in the Sage journal ‘E-Learning & Digital Media’. Titled “Ed-Tech Within Limits: Anticipating Educational Technology in Times of Environmental Crisis” the paper foregrounds the issue of environmental sustainability as the prevailing issue that needs to be addressed in considering what future forms of educational technology are possible … if not preferable. As the article puts it:
“We need to anticipate the ongoing environmental degradation of the planet as radically up-ending existing assumptions about the continued use of digital technologies in education”
