The internet and education

Neil Selwyn has a chapter in a new edited collection ‘Change – 19 Key Essays on How Internet Is Changing our Lives’. Neil’s chapter on ‘The Internet and Education’ is part of the book’s wide ranging overview of the internet’s influence on contemporary society – covering issues such as the ‘internet of things’; cybercrime and internet security; the future of work; urban-rural sustainability; the internet’s influence on languages and new economic systems; the changes wrought by the net in the music industry; and other aspects of its many cultural, social and political ramifications.
