Neil Selwyn has a new review article published in the British Journal of Sociology of Education titled Data points: exploring data-driven reforms of educationThe article overviews two recent books on the rising use of digital data in schools and university education, reflecting on areas of further research, analysis and action. As the article concludes: “The digitization and datafication of everyday life is going to be one of the key societal struggles of the 2020s. I hope that the sociology of education is going to be fully involved“.
